About the Dartmouth live webcam

Our Dartmouth live webcam looks out across the River Dart from Pontoon Terrace Bar & Restaurant on the South Embankment. The view takes in the busy harbour, passenger ferries, yachts and boats, with Kingswear across the river and the heritage railway running along the opposite shoreline.

The scene changes constantly throughout the day. Early mornings can be peaceful, while busier periods bring ferries, harbour activity and boats moving along the Dart. Steam trains passing through Kingswear add another distinctive feature to a view that changes with the weather, tides and seasons.

As well as being an enjoyable way to stay connected with Dartmouth, the camera gives you a useful real-time look at visible weather and river conditions. You can see cloud cover, visibility, movement on the water and what Dartmouth looks like right now — whether you are planning a visit or simply missing the coast.
